Peaceful Journeys

Peaceful Journeys is a full service pet crematory serving the greater Gunnison County. Opened in 2017, owners and operators Jamee and Heath Smith saw a great need for end of life services in this rural area.

Through our own personal experiences Peaceful Journeys was then very carefully built upon the belief that every owner and pet deserves a dignified and peaceful experience from beginning to end. We are now able to give you the comfort of being able to know that your pet is being thoughtfully taken care of in an intimate setting close to home. We are very passionate in the services we provide as we understand and can relate to every owner's personal concerns. Also we pride ourselves in the quality of the cremains that you receive back. At Peaceful Journeys we can guarantee that the cremains you receive are in fact completely processed and your pet. 

At our facility we offer a comfort room for you and your loved ones to have a quiet, uninterrupted final goodbye. Also we have opened this room to all practicing veterinarians in our area to use if you wish to have your pet euthanized in a neutral setting. If you wish to have your pet euthanized at home we can put you in contact with Dr. Ashley Portmann with Home Together Veterinary Service.
